Our Embroidery Process
Using our industrial machines and the latest software technologies, we are able to embroidery anything from 1/4-inch letters to the entire back of a jacket.
Names and words can be programed on site. We also provide thousands of stock designs where text can be added to help create the perfect personalized result.
Custom images and logos must be converted into a format for the embroidery machines to read by a process called digitizing. The machines then follow the digitized pattern, swapping out thread colors to produce the final embroidered design.
Styles Offered
Direct Embroidery
Process of adding stitching directly to the garment itself. Most economical price and fastest turn around.
Monogramming
Monogramming is a form of direct embroidery that involves using the initials of an individual or company, used as recognizable symbols or logos. Traditionally monograms are formed with the initial of the last name (family name) appearing in the center larger than the first two initials. While most monograms place the last initial in the middle, not all do.
Puff Embroidery
Puff embroidery is a way to add dimension to a design, using foam or another perforated material in order to create lift under the thread. The foam comes in a variety of thicknesses and colors to accommodate various jobs. This application also requires double thread-counts in order to perforate the foam and hide it under the stitches.
Layered Embroidery
Layered embroidery is a way to add dimension or additional colors to a design by simply sewing an additional layer over the previous layer of embroidery. Depending on the layers’ individual stitch-counts, there will come a point at which the garment becomes too dense, to the point of being uncomfortable. Additional stitch-counts will depend on the percentage of the layering.
Appliqués
Appliqué is a process that uses material, generally heated on, to create a custom look or feel on clothing and other garments. Additionally, this is a good alternative to sewing large areas because it cuts down on cost and keeps the garment from becoming too dense. Most materials can be double-layered, and almost anything that is not frail or loosely woven can be used, with various results.
Patches
Patches are embroidered and / or printed fabric that are made to be ironed or sewn onto garments. Printed patches will always be the most economical choice where pricing is based on square inches. The cost of embroidered patches is based on stitch-count.
Item or Fabric Restrictions
Due to the delicacy of some materials, or the size and nature of some items, we are not able to embroider them.
Older garments (with material that has become frail), delicate or thin garments, and even leather can be damaged by the machine’s operations.
If you would like to know if a specific item can be embroidered, we are more than willing to discuss it via phone or e-mail. Depending on the garment, there may be additional charges, as well.
We reserve the right not to accept orders if there is concern that the items could be damaged.
We reserve the right to refuse a service if we believe that it may damage the item or garment.
